EdQual PhD student appointed Coordinator for ‘Leadership for Learning’ in Ghana.
Alfred Ampah-Mensah, has been appointed 'Coordinator' for the Leadership for Learning (LfL) Programme in Ghana, a collaborative programme between the Institute for Educational Planning and Administration (IEPA) of the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, Centre for Commonwealth Education (CCE) of the University of Cambridge, UK and the Ghana Education Service (GES). LfL is intended to build the capacity of basic school headteachers in Ghana in order to improve the quality of education provided.
Alfred will be busy; along with his PhD his role includes organising workshops for headteachers and supporting them to implement leadership for learning principles in their schools to promote pupils learning. It also entails monitoring, evaluating and researching the implementation of LfL to ensure its sustainability.
Alfred (modestly) attributes his appointment ‘80%' to the work he has done with EdQual. The credit however, must be all his.
